Nolan LOVES flipping the pages of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, a book that has recently celebrated its 50th birthday! Eric Carle is one of the best authors out there. I can’t wait to take Nolan to the Eric Carle Museum in the near future.

My baby shower was book themed and I LOVED getting so many classic board books for him! I had a discussion with another new mom at one point in the past year, where we discussed that every kid has a library that probably contains the same gems, books that were read by their parents and even grandparents:
- Corduroy
- Caps for Sale
- Where the Wild Things Are
- Brown Bear, Brown Bear
- Goodnight Moon
- Chicka Chicka, Boom Boom
And even some ‘modern classics,’ gorgeous and fun new staples that appear on the shelf that literally say “Baby Shower Books” at Target:
- The Pout-Pout Fish
- Giraffes Can’t Dance
- Little Blue Truck
- I Want My Hat Back
- Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus

What books do YOU remember reading when you were growing up? Do your kiddos read them too?
Any and all Dr Seuss!!!
